Abstract

In an hydraulic booster a load applied to a master cylinder assembly through the booster is fed back to a pedal-operated input piston 7 through a reaction element 26. This provides, when a boost chamber 18 for operating a boost piston 9 is pressurised by boost pressure, a reaction or "feel" at the pedal which is unaffected by the magnitude of the boost pressure and seal hysteresis. <IMAGE>
