Abstract

The driving device consists of a driving means run by a driving shaft on the camera, and on the cassette a driven means, running the cassette sprocket wheel or wheels (for passage of film past the gate); this driven means is meshed into the driving means when the cassette is fitted onto the camera. The device is characterized by the fact that either the driving or driven means consists of an endless gear belt with teeth on both sides, passing around at least one driving or driven pully, while the other means consists of a gear belt pulley placed in such a manner that the teeth mesh into the teeth of the gear belt when the cassette is fitted onto the camera. An endless gear belt 8 on a camera 1 may be driven by motor gear 9 and detachably engage pulley 13 (at the side of cassette 2) operating sprocket wheel 4. When the belt forms part of the cassette, there may be one (Fig. 2) or two (Fig. 3) cassette pulleys operating respective sprocket wheels. <IMAGE>
