Abstract

in a process for adhering a subsequently applied silicone- or siloxane- based abrasion resistant-coating to thermoplastic or thermoset polycarbonate substrate, a tie coating composition, which comprises polymer containing 50 to 100 weight percent alkyl methacrylate units and flow improver dissolved in organic solvent, is first applied and allowed to dry at 20 to 30 DEG C instead of requiring to be baked on to the substrate.
