Abstract

Anti-foam agents based on monoalkyl and/or dialkyl phosphates which give satisfactory results in surfactant temperatures of about 95 DEG C, comprise a mixture of from 10 to 90% by weight of a monoalkyl phosphate and/or a dialkyl phosphate where alkyl is of 8 to 22 carbon atoms, and from 90 to 10% by weight of an oxypropylated alcohol of 8 to 20 carbon atoms containing from 3 to 15 propylene oxide units per molecule, the percentages being based on the mixture. The anti-foam agents are useful in detergents and cleaners comprising a surfactant, which may be used for cleaning or washing textiles.
