Abstract

193,373. Ubbelohde, L. Feb. 16, 1922, [Convention date]. Fibres, obtaining.-Wood fibre, cottonized flax fibre, hemp fibre, and similar products are roughened and better adapted for spinning purposes by agitating, grinding or centrifugalizing in a wet or dry condition with sharp-edged material such as glass powder, emery powder, carborundum powder, infusorial earth and the like, preferably in vacuum.
