Abstract

15,580. Cumming, J. B. Nov. 4. Spring wheels with continuous outer rigid rings and pneumatic hubs.-An annular pneumatic tube 9 is mounted between,sleeves 8, 10, the former of which is arranged around the axle between loose disks 7, 13 which are retained in position by a washer 14. The hub 11 rotates upon the sleeve 10. Leather washers 12 are placed between the disks 13, 7 and the tube and hub. The disk 13 has an aperture closed by a removable cap 18, through which access is had to the valve 19. The wheel is provided with dustguards 15 carrying extensions 16, which enter grooves between the disks 13, 7 and flanges 17 thereon.
