Abstract
9692. Patentes Casablancas Soc. Anon. July 2, 1914, [Convention date]. Rollers and roller heads.-In an arrangement such as that described in Specification 11,613/13, in which slivers or rovings on a conducting-belt are pressed upon by a retention plate, the plate is replaced by three or more rollers which press upon the fibres throughout their whole length, the number of rollers employed varying with the length of the fibres. In the arrangement shown in Fig. 1, four rollers 101 are mounted in bearings in the frame 16 between the adjustable rollers 19, 20 and the drawing-rollers 3. In Fig. 2, the belt 2 is shown passing round the rollers 5, 87 and provided with a tension roller 104, three rollers 101 being used. In further modifications, the belt 2 is caused to pass round the rollers 5, 89, the roller 87 acting upon it tangentially, and a tension roller being provided or the roller 89 being rendered adjustable. The last three arrangements are adapted for use on ordinary spinning-frames.
