Abstract
8771. Komatsu, B. June 15. Mounting.-In oscillating fans of the kind in which the stand for the motor comprises a movable part 2 and a stationary part 1 having a double groove with pins 6 or teeth between engaged by a wheel carried by an adjustable jointed driving- connexion from the motor shaft engaging the grooves, an adjustable block 9 is mounted in a break in the grooves 4, 5 and is provided on the outer half with two grooves 4<1>, 5<1> adapted to form two continuous circular grooves with the broken grooves 4, 5, and on the inner half has curved recesses 10 adapted to connect the ends of the grooves 4, 5 and form a continuous return groove. In the position shown in Fig. 3, the grooves are circular, and the wheel 23, carried by the driving- connexion 14 .. 21 from the motor shaft 13, causes the part 2 carrying the motor and fan to rotate. In the dotted-line position of the block 9, the recesses 10 connect the grooves and the fan and motor oscillate.
