Stamped, moulded, and cast boxes; corner strengthening-pieces; bands, strengthening; fittings, internal; lids and covers.-A packing-case for tins or other articles is made from fibre, pulp, or other material permitting the case to be pressed out or otherwise manufactured in such a manner as to dispense with jointing, the vertical corners being internally rounded at c, Fig. 1, and two sides being preferably provided with curved strengthening-ribs d, which serve to retain the tins. in position. The lid e, Fig. 2, is rabbeted at f, and may be provided with recesses g to receive the handles of the tins.
