Abstract

1460. Hardaker, J. T. Jan. 29. Adjusting height of body from ground; draught and push bars. -In a truck of which the platform 5 is raised and lowered by parallel links 3, 4 actuated by a lever 2 fixed on a crossshaft 7, the tubular propelling - handle 8 can normally swing freely on the shaft 7, but can be locked thereto, when the shaft is to be turned, by means of a spring catch 11 engaging a notched hub on the shaft. The platform is retained in its highest position by a stop 20, against which the lever 2 bears. Rollers 21, 22 are fitted to the platform. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 19,768/14.
