Abstract

191,432. Westerheide, W. Sept. 14, 1921. Screwing-dies.-The dies in a die-head are so made that the whole of the front face of the die thread is in contact with the thread cut, thereby avoiding irregularities in feed. For this purpose the dies when being out are given a slight angular displacement, so that when in use in the die-head the threads of the die are slightly inclined to the threads cut, as shown in the Figure.
