Buoys and buoyant fittings.-A sleeping-bag applicable for use for saving life at sea, is made of strong woven fabric which is either waterproof or is provided with a waterproof cover, and is lined with carded kapok or camel hair held between sheets of soft woven fabric. A portion of the lining is made thick to serve as a pillow c; or a separate pillow of kapok or camel hair is fixed inside the bag. The bag has a longitudinal slit, which may be closed by means of metal fastenings g, h and a movable coupling device i.
