23,808. Goode, E. J. Dec. 9. Packing, metallic.-Bevelled rings a, b of white metal or other alloy, alternately fit the rod and the stuffing-box. The rings may be in halves, or undivided. In the latter case the rings do not fit completely into one another until pressure is applied. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 479/66.
