Abstract

19,251. Dickinson, F. Aug. 31. Jet nozzles.-A nozzle for delivering jets at two different velocities comprises a tube provided with an internal shoulder 5 which is preferably curved as shown and has a small central aperture 6. Water passing freely through the nozzle emerges from the aperture 6 at a high velocity, but on temporarily closing the end 3, the nozzle becomes full of water and the water afterwards emerges at a lower velocity.
