April 16. filters; filters, cleansing; filters, heating; supplying and discharging liquid in connexion with filters. - The efficiency of feedwater-purifiers is increased by means of electric currents generated by connecting various parts, such as zinc partitions b and the walls h, by strips d of a dissimilar metal, such as copper. The filter or purifier is connected with the feed-pipe by two valves a<5>, a<6> which form the inlet and outlet respectively. To cleanse the filter, the flow is reversed by closing the valve a<5> and opening the valve a<8> and the dirt outlet a<4>. The efficiency is further increased by means of a steam-jacket f.
