Abstract
9268. Shipman, G. R. April 14. Fenders.-Bow and stern fenders comprise a number of rollers 10 arranged vertically in a frame 7. In order to deflect small obstacles away from behind the rollers 10, outwardly flared parts 16 are formed on the frame 7. Between the hull A and the rollers 10, supports 12 are fitted, having ball bearings 14 ensuring free rotation of the rollers. A similar arrangement of rollers is fitted round the stern of the vessel.
