Abstract

7594. Wade, H., [Leeson, J. R.]. March 25. Tension arrangements.-A device for controlling the unwinding of yarn, thread, &c. from supply bobbins, hanks, &c. in winding or other textile machines such as gassing or reeling machines, of the kind wherein a compensator arm, over which the yarn draws in passing to the winding-spindle, is controlled by a resilient member, is provided with a second resilient member which acts in opposition to the first member. The resilient members may comprise springs S, S<1> secured to clamps P, P<1> adjustably mounted on the compensator arm K, and to rods R, R, adjustably mounted in the base of the standard that carries the pivot of the compensator arm.
