Dynamometers, rotary-transmission; piston- and-spring pressure gauges.-The torque imparted to a pulley d forces a member e against the piston of a cylinder c fixed to the shaft a; the pressure is transmitted by a fluid through a tube c<111>, axial passage a', and plunger g to a concentric non-rotating plunger i, carried by an attachment to the bearing f, and thence by a fluid in the tube k to a plunger l which actuates the style n of a distant recording- apparatus of known form. The torque-diagram is drawn upon a clock-rotated disk. The recording-apparatus is in the form of a pressure gauge, the plunger l being connected to a spring. controlled two-armed lever o, which in turn actuates a stylus.
