Abstract

2368. Glauser, R. T. Jan. 29, 1913, [Convention date]. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Bulk evaporators.-Vessels such as flasks, retorts, &c. used in distillation and concentration are so constructed that the part in contact with the substance under treatment is of chemically inert material that is a bad conductor of heat, such as glass, porcelain, &c. while the parts that are subjected to heat are provided with an adhesive layer of metal, so as to distribute the heat and prevent local overheating. The coating of metal may be applied electrolytically.
