Abstract
1445. Utley, T. Jan. 19. Cabin and deck lights.-Relates to means for preventing the opening of sidelights by unauthorized persons and consists in forming the nuts of hinged bolts of such a character that a key of special construction is required to loosen the nuts. The nuts y are of cylindrical, spherical, conical, or other form, and are provided with a projection z or a recess so that a box spanner of corresponding form is necessary to turn the nuts. In the example shown, the light comprises a hinged glazed frame having a hinged cover and hinged bolts fitted to both frame and cover. In a modification, the nuts are formed with a cylindrical recess having a projection to permit rotation.
