24,730. Galley, J. G. Oct. 30. Pivot adjustments.- A quadrant 1 with notches 11 on its upper side is rigidly fixed to the window frame. A spring bolt 4 which engages one or other of the notches 11 is carried by the fan-light and is operated by the opening-cord 6 or by the closing -cord 7 which pass over pulleys 8, 10. A spring plunger 21 which may be withdrawn limits the opening movement of the fan-light. In a modification, in addition to the sliding bolt 4, Fig. 3, which slips out of the notches when force is applied to the fan-light, there is a bell-crank 16, 12 operated by a cord 15. In the closed or fully open position, the part 12 engages special notches 14, 22 which prevent opening or further opening of the fan-light.
