Abstract

24,327. Newton, S. C. Oct. 27. Magnets.-An apparatus for magnetizing the permanent magnet A of a magneto &c. comprises a pair of solenoids B resting, upon a softiron base D and supplied with a continuouslyinterrupted continuous current through an electro-magnetic interrupter E. The armature of the interrupter also carries a hammer G for tapping the magnet A during the magnetization. According to the Provisional Specification, a graduated spring-jack may be used to operate the vibrating device and to register the pull of the magnet upon an armature.
