Abstract

18,625. Graves, H. Aug. 16. Nozzles for producing whirling sprays. - A nozzle for lawns comprises an outer cylinder J secured to a reducing-nipple D to which the water fittings are attached. The reducing- nipple carries an adjustable nipple K having a series of slots or holes E cut tangential to the inner surface thereof, and so arranged that water enters a chamber formed between the nipple K and cylinder J and strikes against the outer wall of the chamber; a rotary movement is thus given to the water which leaves by the countersink aperture of the cylinder J. In order to produce a finer spray, a cap H is provided which, when not in use, is screwed into the socket G.
