Atmospheric gasburners.-In a gas-fire burner of the type in which several nozzles are cast on a common distributing - chamber a, the mixing-tube d is connected to the central part of the chamber a, and the nozzles b near the gaseous-mixture inlet are each formed internally with a conical construction of smaller cross-section than the nozzles at the ends, the outlet ends of the nozzles being of equal area. Each nozzle is provided with a perforated detachable cap. A baffle c, extending partly across the chamber, prevents the direct rush of the mixture to the end of the chamber. A tube, closed at its end and perforated on its periphery j, projects from the gas-supply passage into the conical nipple h, so that foreign matter is retained by the trough-shaped interior of the nipple. The nipple is provided with a shield l.
