Trees and stretchers.-A n appli - ance for supporting boots &c. while being cleaned, and applicable also as a tree or stretcher, comprises a toepiece d connected by a strap of spring steel c to a heelplate a, which is provided with a turned-up piece a' to bear against the front of the heel. The tree is detachably secured to the wall by headed studs f, which engage in slots in the tree having wide apertures at the base to permit the passage of the studs. When not in use, the tree may be hung on a hook g.
