11,454. Viersen, J. H. van. Oct. 18, 1912, [Convention date]. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Pocket igniters, frictional. - In a combined cigar cutter and lighter in which the operation of a spring - actuated knife causes a wick to be ignited, the pivoted knife is provided with a pointed projection 20, which engages registering apertures 21, 23 on the cover 16 and the casing 1 respectively. When the knife 2 is operated, the cover flies open under the influence of a spring 18 and partly rotates a roughened wheel 13, causing a wick 15 to be ignited by means of a flint 12. A long wick tube 14 is provided.
