Actuating; combinations of interdependent valves.-In an apparatus for supplying bottles with measured quantities of liquids, such as syrups, in which the valve controlling the supply from the reservoir to the measuring-vessel and from the measuring-vessel to the bottle is operated by the weight of the bottle when placed in position for filling, the bottle is placed on a pivoted nozzle D, Fig. 1, and operates the valve spindle c<8> through a cup d<1>, which makes a tight joint on packing d<2> in the filling-head. Movement is transmitted to the valve through a spring C' so that the valve is forced on its seat C<10>, to close the main supply passage A, with uniform pressure irrespective of the weight of the bottle. In another form, a claw projecting from the nozzle operates the valve spindle which works through a cup-leather packing.
