Abstract

8247. Pelterie, R. Esnault-. April 16, 1912, [Convention date]. Cylinders receiving liquid fuel.-A chamber a, Fig. 1, of fixed volume communicates with the cylinder through an unrestricted passage b, located in which is a liquidfuel injection orifice i. Air forced into the chamber d u r i n g compression is carburetted as it re-enters the cylinder during the working strokes. A common air admission and exhaust valve is shown at f. An incandescent igniter c is carried by a spindle h. The Specification as open to inspection under Section 91 (3) (a) describes also a construction of two-stroke-cycle engine using liquid fuel and having an air-compression pump which discharges into a chamber, such as a, Fig. 1, separated from the cylinder by a valve carrying an igniter. Fuel is injected through an orifice in the passage between the chamber and the cylinder. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
