Abstract

5720. Reeves, R. H. March 7. Splashing-apparatus. - Apparatus for introducing disinfectants and fresh air into drains comprises a water-supply pipe 5 terminating in a pin-hole nozzle 8 located within a tapering ring 10 and supported by a tube 11, which in turn rests upon a dome 2. The spray impinges upon a pointed metal striker 9 and forms a spreading film of water, which draws in air and is broken up into mist by impact against the tube 11.
