Abstract

191,274. Oswald, H. N. Dec. 24, 1921. Impact pulverizers.-In grinding or pulverizing machines of the kind comprising two discs a, b facing one another and revolving in opposite directions and provided with groups of projecting pins c, d, the groups of pins are arranged in compartments with restricted outlets leading to one or more further groups of pins. As shown, the discs a, bare mounted on shafts g, h revolving in opposite directions in bearings j, k. The pins c, d are arranged in concentric circles, and each group consisting of one circle of each of the pins c, d is separated from the adjacent group by a partition e or f secured to the disc a or b. Material to be ground is fed into the machines through a hopper l and after being ground is discharged into the casing m and drawn away by an air draught or a conveyer. The air draught may be caused by fan blades n on one of the discs or by a separate fan.
