Funnels.-Relates to a funnel of the type in which a valve is opened to permit liquid to pass when the funnel is placed in the mouth of a container, the valve closing again when the funnel is removed, and in which a float valve is also provided to close the filling- tube as the liquid rises. According to the present invention, the filling-tube b telescopes into the funnel bowl l, and its upper end constitutes a valve d which normally closes on to a seating e. When the funnel is placed in a bottle, the valve is raised by the flange i of the tube b bearing on the bottle moutb, and a tight joint between the bowl and stem of the funnel is effected by a collar h bearing against the lower part of the bowl. Below the passages p of the valve d, a seating is provided for a float valve c located in the filling-tube. The valve d can be unscrewed to remove the filling-tube.
