Combing-machines. - The supports for the drawing-off rollers of a Noble combing-machine comprise a cylindrical guide e at the open end of which is a transverse bush k, which forms the bearing for the driving- roller a. The spindle d of the loose roller is journaled in a diametral transverse hole in a cylindrical piece g, which slides in the guide e. The pressure spring t is accommodated in a recess in the piece g, and the adjusting - screw u bears against the head of a thrust pin v. The piece g is prevented from rotating by a set-screw entering a longitudinal groove in the piece. The two bearings are connected by the usual bracket w and the lower bearing is provided with a projection l, which bears in a socket in the framing m. The lower bearing also has a slotted flange o, by means of which it is bolted in position upon the framing m.
