Angular bending. - A pivoted bender for forming hollow bodies or the like from sheet metal carries a pivotally-mounted eccentricallyoperated clamping-bar and a bending-bar adjustable by means of inclined faces in the pivoted bar so as to vary the sharpness or curve of the angles. The bar b, which is raised on its pivots b<1> by a handle b<4>, is recessed to receive the bending-bar a, the faces a<1> at one side of the recesses being inclined to engage similar inclined faces on the bar, so that the bar may be vertically adjusted. The bar a is connected to the bar b by bolts a<2> and inclined slots b<3>. The extent of the bend is controlled by stops g, and the position of the bend is determined by an adjustable gauge i<1>. The sheet is clamped on the table by a bar e mounted on rods f, f<1>, which are operated by eccentrics on a shaft h rotated by a handle f<3>. The bar is slotted at e<2> so that it may be swung on its pivot b to permit the removal of the work.
