Abstract

29,203. Bergman, A. J. A. Dec. 30, 1910, [Convention date]. Cutting and slicing vegetables &c. - A machine for slicing meat, bread, &c., comprises a sickle - shaped rotary knife 1 and an adjustable gauge-plate 5 having a spiral slot 6 through which the cut slice passes. The knife is secured to a sleeve 3 running in a bearing 12 formed as a projecting boss on the frame 10. The gaugeplate together with the central pin 4 is adjusted by a screw 17 having a head 16 bearing on a cap 15 attached to the sleeve 3. The plate 5 and knife 1 are held in fixed angular relation by pins 7, which permit axial movement, and are rotated by handle 8. The material to be cut is fed by hand along a channel 13. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 15,291/94, [Class 28, Cooking &c.], 9564/09, 13,784/09, and 3482/10.
