Abstract

25,629. Richardson, W. Nov. 17. Dispensing liquids.-An apparatus for raising beer or other liquids by atmospheric pressure or compressed carbon dioxide comprises a glass receptacle a attached to a casing b clamped to the counter and formed with connexions d, e to the beer barrel and draw-off tap f respectively. The casing b has also formed on or secured to it a cylinder g having a port x connected to a vacuum and a port i connected to the interior cf the glass vessel so that the air is normally exhausted from the vessel a to permit the beer to flow into it by way of the pipe d, a float k being provided to close the apertures at the top of the pipe to prevent beer from being sucked back into the pipe j. The drawoff tap has a disk l provided with a cam slot which operates a rod m to actuate the piston valve n in order to connect the receptacle to the vacuum when the cock is closed and to the air &c. when the cock is open. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 27,589/02.
