Folding boxes; specially-shaped boxes. -A collapsible box or dummy is made in semicylindrical or other form, the front b being held extended by curved flaps d or the like. The front b is made of thin material such as cardboard or paper, and carries the usual printed advertising matter. The ends of the front are secured to the hinged flaps c and to the back a, as shown in Fig. 5, by staples or by adhesive &c., so that when the flaps c are .turned d forwards, as they are according to Fig. 1, the front proper b overlies them. These flaps are of thick material, and are arranged so that they meet or very nearly meet in the middle of the front. The curved top and bottom flaps d may be made in one with the back, or may be hinged to extensions m secured to the back. By reason of the creasing of the front as shown in Fig. 5, in the collapsed state the front lies within the breadth of the back portion a and is thereby protected from injury. The dummy may have a lid or cover, and may be fashioned to represent a bag, packet, &c.
