Abstract

6498. Whyte, R. March 15. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Bending, creasing, and the like.-In a machine for bending cardboard &c. by the successive action of disks, the disks are formed 'so as to be adjustable laterally, as regards their distance from the work and from each other, and they co-operate with laterally adjustable lower brackets which carry plates with #-shaped ridges, or rollers with similar ridges, or a combination of these. As shown, the upper creasing-disks F are carried by brackets H vertically adjustable in brackets I which are laterally adjustable by means of right and left handed threads C operated by hand gearing which also drives similar screws C' engaging lower brackets R in which are mounted idle rollers S formed with #-ridges, and a plate T, Fig. 3, having a similar ridge. There are several sets of disks F, and positively-driven feed-rollers are arranged in front of, and delivering rolls behind these disks, and other feed-rollers may be used if desired. The distance apart of the disks F is regulated by means of slides L adjustable by means of screws. The slides are formed with inclined slots which act on pins carried by plates G, G' in which the disks are mounted.
