Abstract

Sept. 7, Screw propellers comprise two blades having helical faces 1, 2 which extend from the leading edges 3, 4 to the trailing edges, the curved surfaces of one blade merging continuously into those of the other. The leading edges 3, 4 are curved forward in the direction of rotation at the outer parts, and the adjacent blade surfaces are perpendicular to the axis of rotation. The leading edge of one blade just overlaps the trailing edge of the other.
