Lifting-dogs. - Clamps or grips for gravity stamps, shafts, columns, pipes, &c. having a pair of curved clamping-members 1, 2 drawn together by quick-threaded screws 11, are provided with slotted recesses 7 in each clamping- member, in which loose nuts 9 are mounted non-rotatably. The arms 10 are connected to the screws 11, and are suspended from the shackle by ropes.
