[Addition to 24,776/08.] Night-latches, preventing operation of.-The change-key mechanism described in the parent Specification is applied to a lever night-latch. The levers d are pivoted on links f which can be clamped in any desired position by a screw g. While the combination is being changed, the levers are held in their releasing position by means of a pin inserted into holes d' therein and into a hole in the casing. The levers are raised from the inside by means of a slide j mounted in the striking-plate i, and can be secured in the locking position by a screw q also mounted in the striking-plate. The parts are made symmetrical to allow the lock to be used for right and left handed doors.
