Abstract
26,718. Castellazzo, E. Nov. 19, 1908, [Convention date]. Fixed-abutment type of rotary engine having sliding-rocking vanes mounted in geometrically defined positions in the rotor. Two vanes M, N slide in carriers U, V mounted in cylindrical recesses in an eccentric rotor B. The vanes are maintained radial to the cylinder A by segmental pieces P which work in concentric grooves in the end-covers of the cylinder, such pieces having a spring connexion with the vanes to keep them in contact with the internal surface of the cylinder. A particular geometrical construction is described whereby the centres T, S of the carriers U, V are obtained, the characteristic feature being that the line joining these centres does not pass through the centre of the rotor B.
