Abstract

23,497. Harrison, R. Oct. 14. Circular-flow type; regulating.-An elasticfluid turbine comprising an impact - wheel d<1>, steam inlet g, and exhaust h<3>, as described in Specification 23,507/08, is provided with one or more by-passes h<1> by which the steam is returned to the wheel by one or more nozzles g<2>. In a modification, the inlet nozzles and by-passes are formed within the rotor, and co-operate with fixed projections on the casing. The steam may be superheated and the turbine may be steamjacketed.
