Cleaning internally, non-rotary appliances for.-A scraper of the kind described in Specification 11,915/95, for cleaning the smoke and other tubes of steam-generators comprises two spring blades b mounted on a screwed spindle a, each having outwardly bent scraping or cutting edges d of spiral formation. An asbestos or other brush g and a hollow cup f, which assists in withdrawing the scale, may be fixed upon the spindle a. The scraper may be operated by means of a rod secured to the spindle, or by means of chains or the like fixed to eyes in the spindle. The edges d may be serrated.
