A c t u a t i n g valves; materials, special, for valves and cocks. - The diaphragm A of an automatic regulator is composed of a number of metallic members, the inner one being constructed of resilient material such as steel, and the outer sheath or sheaths of copper or like metallic non-rusting material to protect the inner layer from contact with the controlling-medium. The valve e has a screwed extension d, whereby the amount of clearance between the diaphragm and the tappet d<2> may be adjusted. The valve may be removed on unscrewing the cap f.
