Abstract
11,506. Chinn, H. P. May 15. Clips, spring-wire.-A plant support provided with means for securing adjustably on a vertical stick, or on vertical sticks of different sizes, consists of an angle piece of wire bent as shown. The stick d is passed endways through an inclined ring c', and sideways into an open loop c<2>, which is closed by the hooked end a<2> of the band or ring a, when this is closed round the plant. The resiliency of the wire causes the part a<2>, c' to press againstthe stick end and thus hold the ring a in place. The appliance is adjusted for sticks of different diameters by altering the inclination of the ring c'. In a modification, the ring a is adjustable in diameter, a number of kinks being formed in it for the hooked end to engage with. According to the Provisional Specification, the ring c' may be made to expand, and to open and close.
