Abstract

10,113. Farr, A. J., [Peters, M., and Gruber, K.]. April 28. Rolling tubes; mandrels.-In a continuous tuberolling mill, the mandrel is moved independently of the rolls by a drawbench arranged at the back of the rolls and driven at a speed equal to or less than that of the first pair of rolls. The mandrel c is coupled by a dog h to the carriage d of the drawbench and is released by adjustable stops i. The coupling-lever e of the carriage may be withdrawn automatically from the chain and returned by a weight.
