Well-sinking by boring.-To facilitate the sinking of wells, especially those used for the foundation of bridges, by dredging away the material from the inside of brickwork or masonry m built on a kerb d, the kerb d is fitted with nozzles n adapted to be connected by branches e to tubes a, which replace the ordinary steining-rods. The tubes a are connected to an annular pipe c, through which water is passed to the nozzles.
