Abstract

5187. Wagner, R. March 3. Press-button fasteners.-A fastening for boots and shoes comprises two spring studs 2 connected by a spring 1 the extension of which is limited by two inter-engaging loops 4 secured by their free ends to the ends of the spring. One of the spring studs is inserted :in an eyelet on one flap of the boot, and by means of the forked lever 7 the other spring stud is inserted in an eyelet in the other flap. The spring studs are constructed as shown in Fig. 6, and comprise an outer part 2 and a spring 5 to give the necessary spring action.
