Pots.-The strainer a of a tea-pot &c. is set inwards so as to cross the axis of the spout at about right-angles thereto, is provided with notches a<1> so. that it is cleaned by the backflow of liquid, and is placed above the bottom of the pot. The strainer may be dished to facilitate soldering, or it may be detachable and fastened by a spring snap, pin, &c. In the example shown, it is provided with ears a<2>, a<3>, the latter being slotted to receive a pin c having a swivelling head c<1>.
