Abstract

5535. Nelson, J. March 12. Traps.-Relates to a trap with a noose or snare for catching and killing rabbits and other vermin. The central portion of a wire frame a is formed into a spring b. One end c of this wire is extended forwardly, bent upwardly, formed into a loop d, and bent downwardly to form a stake e to fix into toe ground or a suitable base. The other end f is bent forward and formed into a hook g which engages a loop h formed at one end of a flexible wire i. Adjacent to this wire is a small catch around which the wire i is wound, and which is held in position by the loop d. The looped end of the end of the wire i is passed through a loop k and is formed into a noose m. The dotted lines show the trap when operated.
